Jon Loughlin

Chief Executive Officer

Next Issue Media

Before joining Next Issue Media in 2015, John Loughlin was executive vice president and general manager at Hearst Magazines, a position he held from 2005. His general management duties at Hearst included leadership of the group’s digital businesses including the strategy and execution of Hearst Magazines’ 21 major web sites, apps and e-editions. He also led the consumer marketing enterprise that marketed, managed and delivered 30 million copies of Hearst magazines each month.

During his tenure, Hearst retooled its customer data strategy. Hearst’s customer base now houses more than 100 million customer records with full multi-platform capabilities. Loughlin also oversaw production, procurement, content extensions and book publishing.

Loughlin led Hearst’s entry into the digital marketing services business with the acquisition in 2010 of iCrossing, the country’s largest independent digital marketing agency, and in 2014, he championed Hearst’s acquisition of Kubra, a major provider of integrated bill payment and presentment services for the utilities, insurance and government sectors.

John served as Hearst representative on the board of Next Issue Media since its inception in 2010.
