Unreel powers video publishing and monetization for networks. With a focus on OTT apps, we help content networks to take control of their distribution across all platforms. Our partners are able to monetize their content via advertising, leveraging subscription based or video on demand pay walls, e-commerce, or all of the above – from a single central dashboard. We currently are set to power multi-platform distribution for partners including Bonnier Corp, The Enthusiast Network, Zazoom Media Group, GT Channel, Jash.com, and others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


1) How does your company partner with MPA members to help them succeed?
 
Unreel helps creators, brands and publishers gain complete control over their video distribution. We support desktop, mobile, and smartTV OTT apps with multiple paywall and advertising options. We offer our partners the ability to focus their attention and financial resources on the creation of great content while we take care of the pipes, creating greater revenue and generating Big Data analytics to drive growth.

2) What challenges or uncertainties do you see on the horizon for the industry?
 
As the distribution landscape for publishers has expanded across digital platforms the challenge for many print publications is how best to support widespread digital video distribution while operating on a limited budget. Everyone wants to grow their audience, we believe adding video properties to a publication’s portfolio engages both new and existing subscribers and opens up revenue streams.
 
3) What had the greatest impact on your business this year?
 
The development of our partnerships with leading publishers (Bonnier and Enthusiast) has validated our business in a powerful way.  It validates why we built our platform and confirms that Unreel meets the needs of publishers.  Working closely with publishers this past year has allowed us to shape our platform to the specific needs of publishers. This collaboration has enabled us to build advertising tools and subscription bundles to drive users and finical growth across our publishing partner’s portfolios.  
 
4) If you were a magazine brand, which would you be and why?
 
Entrepreneur - We are hungry innovators changing an industry and enabling brands and publishers to take control of their own video distribution, turning everyone with content into a video entrepreneur. We realize that content is king but are looking to disrupt a distribution model that has lagged behind changing times. We enable our partners to capitalize on the full potential of what a 21st century publisher can be.
 
5) Is there anything we haven’t asked you today that you wish we had?

Yes - Why does your company do what it does?
—Unreel seeks to connect publishers to their fans on a deeper level. By taking their fans online to interact with content, publishers are accessing valuable data on their users and opening up additional distribution channels and revenue streams. Engaging fans beyond print, and generating revenue in non-traditional ways is essential for publishers to adapt.  Unreel allows for a seamless transition into the digital age by providing the technologies and UX/UI design necessary to strengthen bonds with fans and turn incredible content into incredible revenue.
