We are currently seeking a FoodNetwork.com Culinary Editorial Digital intern to be located in our New York - Chelsea office.

Application Deadline: July 30, 2014

This fall internship will begin on or after September 8, 2014 and end on or before November 28, 2014.

Anticipated hours per week: 20

Internship Qualifications

  • Must have previous internship experience and/or participated in college clubs/organizations, and/or in-depth coursework in a related field
  • Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Intern must be a rising junior or senior or graduate student
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States. Scripps Networks is unable to sponsor visas for interns. If you are an international student not already studying in the U.S. on a F-1 or J-1 visa, then you have to go through a university or an outside organization (internship placement agency) that will sponsor your visa.
  • Must have an interest in writing and food
  • Experience in a content management system and Wordpress a plus
  • Must have good organization and planning skills and be able to prioritize work

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Production: assist in the creation of photo galleries and articles
  • Writing: write blog posts as assigned; write photo gallery captions and short form articles
  • Research: assist in fact-checking stories as well as finding and securing images for use on the site
  • QA: assist in checking sponsored packages for sponsorship codes, links working properly and other errors

Areas of Study

  • English or journalism major preferred
