Paid Fall Web Intern at The New Republic

The New Republic is seeking a fall editorial intern for our Washington, D.C. office. The position is paid and full-time. We also welcome part-time applicants who are currently enrolled in college or grad programs and who can get credit for the internship. Part-time internships used for course credit are not paid. Candidates should display close attention to detail, have strong writing skills, and show initiative. Journalism experience is preferred, but not imperative; some familiarity with basic HTML and content management systems is helpful. Interns are asked to contribute to The New Republic by:

  • Copy-editing pieces
  • Assisting in web production
  • Pitching and writing web pieces
  • Conducting research for editors
  • Undertaking occasional administrative and organizational tasks
